Hyderabad: According to the police, a four-person gang allegedly kidnapped an 18-year-old woman on Tuesday morning in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district while she was in a car. Around 5.30 am, the woman, a college student, and her father were travelling to a temple in the village of Moodepalle in the Chandurthi mandal of the district when the incident happened, they claimed.

A nearby CCTV camera recorded the moment the victim was violently taken into the car by the kidnappers before they sped off. The girl’s father can be seen attempting in vain to save her in the video that local TV channels are airing.

The victim’s father later filed a police complaint, stating that the gang had physically assaulted him prior to the kidnapping of his daughter. He claimed that one of the suspects was from the girl’s village.

The defendant, who is believed to be around 24 years old, allegedly eloped with the teen a few months ago, but they were counselled by the police and she was given to her parents.

Special teams were organised to arrest the suspect and save the girl after a case was filed.
