76th Independence Day Celebration at DAV Jaipur

“Every citizen of India must remember that… he is an Indian and he has every right in this country but with certain… duties.”-Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel

Credent TV | On August 15, 2022, India will commemorate its 75th year of independence. We celebrate Independence Day as the national festival of India. The day marks the anniversary of national independence from the British Empire on August 15th, 1947, after lots of hardships and sacrifices by the brave Indian freedom fighters.

The 76th Independence Day of our nation was celebrated on August 15, 2022, with great respect, zeal, and enthusiasm at DAV Centenary Public School, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. The ceremony started at 8.30 a.m. in the school open ground with the gathering of staff and students in the full spirit of patriotism.

To celebrate the sovereignty of our nation, respected Principal Mr. A K Sharma, accompanied by his staff members, hoisted the Indian tricolor flag and, all in unison, sang the National Anthem and expressed joy at this hard-earned freedom.

To mark this historic event, the government of India is organizing several events under the banner of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav’ (Nectar of Grand Celebration), with the theme ‘Nation First, Always First’. The government also aims to hoist 200 million Tricolors. The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has also been started as part of AKAM by the Government of India to encourage people to bring the Indian flag home and hoist it. The students and teachers of DAV Centenary Public School, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, also participated in all the programs with zeal and enthusiasm to reflect our pride and solidarity in the country’s diversity.

The programme began with a welcome address by the Academic coordinator, Mr Vipin Kumar Sharma. The gamut of celebration activities held on the campus consisted of patriotic poetry recitation by the Principal, and patriotic songs presented by teachers which filled everyone with pure patriotism.
