Following Pakistan’s 2024 T20 World Cup group stage elimination, a fan was shown on tape arguing with Rauf after allegedly making offensive remarks about the player’s family

After a video of pacer Haris Rauf getting into a furious argument with a fan went viral, many Pakistani cricket players rushed to his aid. Following Pakistan’s 2024 T20 World Cup group stage elimination, a fan was seen on camera arguing with Haris Rauf after the player’s family was allegedly insulted. Ahmed Shehzad, Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, and Muhammad Rizwan, among other colleagues of Rauf, used social media to criticize the fan base’s actions.

“Let us ensure that the discussion is kind and mindful of the families of the players. Let us spread love, harmony, and reverence for the game of cricket,” tweeted Hasan Ali, a teammate.
