a minister from Madhya Pradesh takes issue with Deepika Padukone's Pathaan costume

Credent Tv: Since Ms. Padukone is a “supporter of the tukde-tukde gang” and “polluted minds” are responsible for the hit song’s production, Narottam Mishra has threatened to consider banning Pathaan in M.P.

Narottam Mishra, the home minister for the state of Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday said that the movie Pathaan might be banned in the region because of the actor Deepika Padukone’s attire.

Mr. Mishra, the official spokesperson for the State government, demanded that such “visuals be corrected” in reference to the recently released track from the movie Besharam Rang. Mr. Mishra has frequently criticised various movies and filmmakers in the past for what he views as having “objectionable content.”

“The clothing used in the song is at first glance egregiously offensive. It is obvious that this song’s video was created by people with dirty ideas. In the JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) episode, Deepika Ji has in any circumstances supported the tukde-tukde gang. Because of this, I would want to request that they correct the clothes and song’s graphics, or else it is debatable whether or not the right to release this movie in MP should be granted.

The allusion to JNU was made in relation to Ms. Padukone’s visit to the university in January 2020 to show support for the students who had been attacked by a mob a few days earlier.

Pathaan, a movie directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, will be released on January 25, 2023, and it stars Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Ms. Padukone. This week, the aforementioned song’s music video was made available, and it has since received over 36 million views on YouTube.
