A record 35000 tourists arrive in Jaipur in only 12 hours

JAIPUR: The city reported a significant increase in visitors on January 1, 2023. Numerous tourist attractions, such as the Hawa Mahal, Amer Mahal, Albert Hall, Jantar Mantar, and Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh, were visited by more than 33,000 people.

Entry fees to these locations brought in Rs 22 lakh for the tourist department.

“The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the travel and tourism sectors. But since the final week of December, the city has seen a record amount of visitors. In the final week of December, we had 3.8 lakh visitors, according to a tourism department official.

He continued by saying that in eight days, the department brought in Rs 2.38 crore in income. With 9,406 and 10,147 visitors, respectively, Amer Fort and Hawa Mahal were the most visited tourist attractions on Sunday. Albert Hall saw close to 7,400 visitors, Jantar Mantar 5871, and Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh 622.

According to tourism industry specialists, there were more visitors than the government had reported.

These figures are based on the department’s revenue, but the actual figures are greater because thousands of individuals visited the locations with free admission. The city’s tourism sector has had a fantastic start. This year’s tourism numbers “broke records,” according to tour guide Guman Singh.

The tour guides claimed that Sunday’s increased foot traffic was due in part to this.

“Several locations in the Walled City as well as the roads leading to the Jal Mahal and Amber Fort reported traffic congestion. Not just residents of Jaipur but also residents of neighboring cities frequented the city’s well-known tourist attractions, the man claimed.
