AAP Scores Huge Victory In Delhi Municipal Election

CredentTv: Aaj Tak’s exit poll for the MCD election of 2022 predicts that the AAP would win 149–171 wards. Times Now’s latest exit poll indicates that Arvind Kejriwal, the chief executive of Delhi, might win 146 to 156 wards.

According to NDTV’s analysis of exit polls, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is most likely to win 155 of the 250 wards in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) election.
According to Aaj Tak-Axis My India’s exit poll, the AAP may win 149–171 wards. Times Now-latest ETG’s exit poll indicates that Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, could win 146 to 156 wards.

Warning: Exit polls frequently give inaccurate results.

According to the exit polls conducted by Aaj Tak and Times Now, the BJP won 69–91 wards. According to the News X-Jan Ki Baat exit poll, the BJP has 70-92 wards against the AAP’s 159-175.

According to the exit polls conducted by all three channels, the Congress won 10 or fewer wards.

The three exit polls indicate that other candidates would win 5–9 seats.

The AAP receives 134-146 votes, followed by the BJP with 82-94, and the Congress with 8-14, according to the Zee News-BARC exit poll.

If the exit polls are accurate when the results are announced, the AAP’s performance would be a major setback for the BJP, which has ruled the MCD for the past 15 years.

It appears that Mr. Kejriwal’s campaign promise that the AAP will purge corruption from the MCD was effective.

If the exit polls are accurate, it will indicate that Mr. Kejriwal’s party outperformed the BJP even though the latter sent its top leaders to Delhi for the MCD election campaign.

AAP’s ascent has not been halted by the BJP’s strategy of linking the local election in Delhi to national issues and bringing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “development for all” message to Delhi residents’ doorsteps.

With the AAP in charge of both the municipal council and the Delhi government, Mr. Kejriwal’s party should have an easy time implementing fundamental urban initiatives.

The MCD was previously separated into the north, south, and east zones. Before the election, the three were combined into a single organisation.
