After learning of the groom’s affair from his lover on the wedding day, the bride annuls the union.

The groom has refuted the accusations and acknowledged being in a relationship, but he claims the woman betrayed his trust.

On the day of their wedding, Abride in Punjab annulled her marriage after learning that the groom had an extramarital relationship.

When a woman claiming to be the groom’s lover arrived at the wedding venue with police, according to a Zee News Hindi story, tensions rose.

The bride, a Sirhind resident and a native of Patiala, was charged with cheating by the woman, a mother of two.

She also disclosed that they had been cohabitating for the previous eight years and that he had proposed to her during that time. She was unaware, though, that he had come to marry another girl after cheating on her.

“I’ve been living with the groom for a while and have already filed for divorce from my husband. His interactions with my kids were friendly. He didn’t share his wedding preparations with me, though,” the woman remarked.

The accused groom has reportedly been taken by police to the Mataur police station for questioning.

The groom, on the other hand, has refuted the accusations made against him and acknowledged being in a relationship with the woman, but he claims she betrayed him.

He declared his desire to wed her, but she had withheld her marital status from him and wasn’t divorced.

I was unaware that she hadn’t yet filed for divorce from her husband. I decided to get married to someone else because she lied to me,” he told the police.

The bride’s family has asked the groom to cover the costs of the arrangements after postponing the wedding.
