Jaipur North, Jaipur South, and Dudu will now make up the four smaller districts that make up Jaipur.
The formation of up to 19 new districts and three divisions, including the construction of new districts outside of the state capital Jaipur, was announced by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday in the Legislature.
Former CM Vasundhara Raje responded to the news by saying, “This is an attempt to fulfil selfish political self-interests. Some key factors have been missed in the process of constructing new districts. Hence, rather than making things easier, the establishment of these additional districts will make things more difficult for people.

Jaipur North, Jaipur South, and Dudu will now make up the four smaller districts that make up Jaipur. In order to form a new district in Alwar, Kotputli, which is also a part of Jaipur, would be combined with Behror.
Jodhpur, the hometown of the Ashok Gehlot , would also be divided into Phalodi, Jodhpur East, and Jodhpur West. Other new districts that will be created along with the current district they are a part of include Anupgarh (Ganganagar), Balotra (Barmer), Beawar (Ajmer), Deeg (Bharatpur), Deedwana – Kuchaman (Nagaur), Gangapur City (Sawai Madhopur), Kekri (Ajmer), Khairtal (Alwar), Neem ka Thana (Sikar), Salumber (U (Bhilwara). Moreover, Banswara, Pali, and Sikar will be the names of the three new divisions.
The 33 will no longer include Jaipur and Jodhpur because of their division into smaller districts. As a result, there will be 50 districts overall in the state.
According to Ashok Gehlot , Rajasthan is the largest state in terms of size, and as a result, numerous districts have their administrative centres located more than 100 kilometres from their furthest points. The average person has to deal with challenges. Also, the administration finds it challenging to reach every family in some regions due to an excessive population, he added.
