Lead developer Uthaman Pradeep, 24, works for Cognizant in Chennai. He resides with his mother and older sister Divya, who has been engaged to Yogi for the past eight months and will wed him in four days. Nikitha, whose father Venu Sastri is sly and orthodox, is in a relationship with Pradeep. Pradeep visits her home to meet with Venu and persuade her to marry him.
