Speaking to party members and leaders, Rahul Gandhi reaffirmed that the goal of his yatra is to establish a “Mohabbat ki dukaan” (shop of love) amidst a ” nafrat ka bazaar” that already exists (market of hate)

Delhi: Today, as Rahul Gandhi marched through Delhi and the Health Minister urged everyone to follow Covid guidelines, thousands of people joined the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja, and Randeep Surjewala were among the party leaders spotted walking with Mr. Gandhi.

Later, Rahul was joined by former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, the party’s national secretary. Sonia Gandhi participated in the yatra thrice. She had participated in the massive foot march for the Congress in Karnataka in October.

Anil Chaudhary, the head of the Delhi Congress, greeted Mr. Gandhi, other party leaders, and the yatris at the Badarpur Border as the Bharat Jodo Yatra arrived in the capital from Faridabad early this morning amid chants of “Rahul Zindabad.”

Rahul Gandhi reaffirmed that the goal of his yatra is to create a “Mohabbat ki dukaan” (shop of love) amidst a “nafrat ka bazaar” while speaking to party members and leaders (market of hatred).

“The average citizen of the nation is now discussing love. Lakhs of people have joined the yatra in every state. I told the RSS and BJP members that we were coming to set up shop in your “Bazar” of hatred “Gandhi stated.

According to Mr. Gandhi

The Yatra’s aim is to show off the “true Hindustan” in which people support one another. He declared, “We (Congress) spread love, they (BJP, RSS) spread hatred.”

In a previous letter, Rahul Gandhi was urged to make sure that Covid “protocols” were adhered to during the Bharat Jodo Yatra by Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

The BJP is allegedly afraid of the support the Bharat Jodo Yatra has acquired and sought to disrupt Mr. Gandhi’s yatra, according to the Congress.

The yatra for today will end in the evening at Red Fort. The Congress mega-march, which reached its 100-day mark on December 16, will take a nine-day holiday break before picking back up on January 3 in Delhi.

The Delhi Police has issued traffic advice advising commuters to “maximize use” of public transportation and steer clear of specific roads. According to the advice, traffic from Badarpur to Red Fort is predicted to continue strong.
