BMW M5 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition launched at Rs 1.80 crore

BMW India (BMW India) has launched the 50 Jahre M Edition (50 Jahre M Edition) of its spectacular M5 Competition in India. The ex-showroom price of the new BMW M5 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition has been fixed at Rs 1.79 crore. The German brand is celebrating the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH (BMW M GmbH). The company will be offering this limited edition M5 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) in India. The new car will be part of the special edition BMW line-up in India after the 530i M Sport, 630i M Sport, M4 Competition, X7 40i M Sport and most recently the X4 ’50 Zahere M Edition’.

Engine and Speed
The BMW M5 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition and the standard M5 Competition have the same high-revving 4.4-litre V8 engine. This engine generates 616 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque. This powertrain is mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. If the driver wishes to intervene, he can use both the selector lever and the shift pedal on the steering wheel. The car claims to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.

The damper response settings can be adjusted according to the mode selected (Road, Sport and Track). The new two-button operating concept in the center console is taken from the BMW M8. The M setup allows the driver to further adjust the driving dynamics.

look and design
The Special Edition saloon gets Active M Differential, a retuned chassis, new shock absorbers etc. But what is special about the M5 Competition 50 Jahre M Edition is its ‘Aventurine Red’ color and the 50 Jahre M emblem which is different from BMW’s traditional emblem. The car gets 20-inch black alloy wheels with red M compound brakes. Also, the quad tailpipes of the standard M Sport exhaust system are given in black chrome for a contrast look.

interior
Coming to the interiors of the car, the cabin of the new BMW M5 Competition comes with leather seats with etching, and a shiny ‘M5’ logo. The Special Edition gets exclusive M seat belts, M footrests and pedals, M leather steering wheel, adaptive M-specific suspension and M Sport exhaust system. It also gets seat heating (driver and front passenger), electrical seat adjustment with memory function and an automatic tailgate.

Features
It gets BMW Operating System 7.0 which includes 3D navigation, a 12.3-inch full digital instrument display behind the steering wheel and a large 12.3-inch control display.
