Cabinet Briefing LIVE Updates: Cabinet approves Rs 22,000 cr grant to oil PSUs to cover for losses on selling cooking gas LPG below cost in last two years

The government has announced bonus for railway employees. Along with this, one time grant has been approved for oil marketing companies. Union Minister Anurag Thakur has given information about the decisions taken in the cabinet. The Union Minister said that the prices of LPG are increasing across the world. A one-time grant of Rs 22,000 crore has been given to Oil Marketing Companies of Public Sector Undertakings. This decision has been taken so that the citizens of the country are not burdened by the rising prices of petroleum products.

Along with this, 11.27 lakh railway employees will be given a productivity linked bonus of Rs 1,832 crore. This will be a bonus of 78 days and the maximum limit will be Rs 17,951.
