Career counselling sessions at DAV Jaipur

DAV Centenary public school, Vaishali nagar Jaipur

Career Counselling and stream selection sessions were organised at DAV Centenary public school, Vaishali nagar Jaipur on 24th and 25th July 2023 for the students from secondary section who are on the verge of choosing a new stream or career. Mr Kapil Dixit, mentor and Career Counsellor from Times institute of management was invited as the Key speaker. He along with Mr Arjun Rathore from Times of India provided the much needed guidance in making informed educational choices.

Mr Kapil Dixit and Mr Arjun Rathore were accorded a warm welcome by the School Principal A. K Sharma. The sessions began with Gayatri Mantra as per DAV tradition, invoking the blessings of Almighty.

Academic Co-ordinator, Mr Vipin Sharma formally introduced Mr Kapil Dixit to the audience and invited him for his valuable inputs, related to subject selection, career choices and options after XII. Mr. Kapil Dixit ignited the young minds to different careers other than the traditional courses. Be it, BBA, BHM, Actuarial Science, Defence, Aviation, Liberal Arts, Design, Social media, etc. He suggested various tips and areas how to crack the competitive exams.

During the session for class X, he briefed the students on how and why of subject selection. The step by step method of decision making really made the session interesting.

During the Open House session various concerns and queries related to career options were raised by students and teachers which were satisfactorily explained by the Key speaker. Recently initiated CUET Exams queries were also explained at length by Mr Kapil Dixit.

 The session   concluded with vote of thanks proposed by school Principal A. K. Sharma who appreciated the efforts of T I.M.E and TOI for timely guidance, sharing valuable inputs for   different careers.  Later, session concluded with Shanti Mantra chanted by all.
