Chennai’s 15th win over Hyderabad: won the match by 7 wickets

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, led his team to victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 29th game of the Indian Premier League 2023. In the history of the IPL, Chennai has defeated Hyderabad 15 times. On Friday, the team defeated Sunrisers by 7 wickets at home.
There have already been 20 games between the two. Only 5 of these have been won by Hyderabad.
With this victory, Dhoni’s team has risen to third place, while Hyderabad is now ranked ninth.
Chennai elected to bowl first after winning the toss at Chepauk Stadium. Hyderabad scored 134 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. With 8 balls remaining, Chennai reached its target of 135 runs for 3 wickets.

Hyderabad’s batsmen struggled, and the bowlers were unable to even claim any wickets.
Hyderabad’s batter struggled after losing the toss. None of the other batsmen could take on the Chennai bowlers, with the exception of opener Abhishek Sharma (34 runs) and Rahul Tripathi (21 runs). Jadeja took three wickets for India. One wicket each was taken by Mathisha Pathirana, Mahish Teekshana, and Akash Singh.
In response, the Sunrisers bowlers failed to make an impression as well, and the Chennai openers scored 87 runs in their first 66 balls. Conway stayed until the very end in addition to this. He used 57 balls to score an unbeaten 77.
Conway scored three half-centuries in a row.
Deven Conway, the captain of Chennai, took 33 balls to reach his half-century. Conway has now reached the mid-century mark three times in a row this year. He has reached his sixth half-century overall.
Opening 87-member partnership between Conway and Gaikwad
An opening partnership of 87 runs was shared by Deven Conway and Rituraj Gaikwad. The partnership was broken by Umran Malik. During the follow throw, he ran out Gaikwad.
Chennai’s start was explosive.
Deven Conway and Rituraj Gaikwad launched Chennai’s chase of a 135-run target. In the first six overs, the two added 60 runs. 23 runs were scored by Conway in Jansen’s over. In this over, four fours and a six were rolled.
With the new opening pair in Hyderabad, Abhishek partnered with Brooke.
In the first pair, Hyderabad changed things up. Despite the pair’s lacklustre performance, Abhishek Sharma and Harry Brook were brought out to start the innings. For 35 runs, the team lost Brooke’s wicket. In just six overs, Hyderabad scored 47 runs.
Chennai arrived without incident.
The Chennai Super Kings, led by Dhoni, have arrived unaltered. At the same time, the Sunrisers have made no significant changes.
