Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 by director Mani Ratnam continues to make sales registers ring in Tamil Nadu and abroad. The historical drama’s box office earnings have reached Rs 300 crore, according to the movie’s producers. In India, the movie continues to do well at the box office. It is safe to state that Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies have made money off of the two portions of Ponniyin Selvan.

On May 8, Lyca Productions’ official Twitter account announced that the movie had made $300 million worldwide. “#PS2 continues conquering the box office worldwide with a 300 crore+ collection!” was the tweet’s subject line.

The movie’s box office receipts drastically decreased on Monday, May 8. According to early projections, the movie could bring in Rs 4 crore net in India. This is about Rs 6 crore less than the amount collected on Sunday (May 7). On May 8, the Tamil version of PS 2 recorded a 25.91% occupancy rate.

PONNIYIN SELVAN’S BIO

Ponniyin Selvan is a historical play that was adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s well-known literary novel of the same name. Music for the movie was written by AR Rahman.

Lead roles are played by Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi. The supporting cast includes Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Vikram Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, and Prabhu.
