Credent TV: PV Sindhu was awarded the gold medal after beating Michelle Li of Canada in the final of the women’s singles competition at the currently ongoing Commonwealth Games.
It’s the last day of competition at the CWG 2022, and India still has a shot at winning anything from one to five gold medals.
Lakshya Sen will compete against Tze Yong NG of Malaysia in the men’s badminton singles event, and he will be looking to win the gold medal in this event as well. In the first game, he is now behind.
Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, who competed in the men’s doubles event, will also compete in the final of their event.
In the men’s hockey gold medal match, which will take place later in the evening, the U.S. squad will face off against Australia.
In table tennis, Achanta Sharath Kamal will compete in the men’s singles final and will be looking to achieve ultimate triumph.
India has now won 56 medals, 19 of which are gold, 15 of which are silver, and 22 of which are bronze. They would want to end with an even higher number of gold medals.
