DAV Jaipur revered Tagore Jayanti

Jaipur:- Rabindranath Tagore is revered across the world for his remarkable contributions to literature, music and art. The legendary Bengali poet, writer, painter, social reformer and philosopher from West Bengal, has significantly influenced the cultural and political history of India. To commemorate his birth anniversary, Rabindranath Jayanti was celebrated in DAV Jaipur.

The students of primary and middle school assembled to observe the day with poems recitation, dance to rabindra sangeet and enactment of Rabindranath Tagore. The librarians narrated the students about the life, work and achievements of Tagore.

Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, the principal of DAV Jaipur briefed about the significance of the day and appreciated the interest and enthusiasm of the students and teachers alike.

This year the country observed the 162nd birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore on May 9.
