Delhi Accident: The Kanjhawala tragedy was captured on fresh, high-quality CCTV footage, which supports a witness’ statement that the car that struck the 20-year-old woman’s scooter on Sunday dragged her body under it for about 1.5 hours.

According to Dahiya, the victim’s body became stuck below the vehicle, but the accused continued to drag it for perhaps 18 to 20 kilometres.

At 3:20 a.m. When I heard a loud bang coming from a vehicle about 100 metres distant, I was standing outside the store. I initially believed it to be a tyre burst. The moment the automobile began to move, I noticed a body being dragged. I immediately notified the police,” Dahiya told.

The witness’ account that the automobile did a u-turn around 3.30 am was likewise supported by the new CCTV footage.

While speaking to the news agency, Dahiya had said that after dragging the body for quite some time, around 3:30 am, the car took a u-turn with the body of the woman still stuck under it. Dahiya said the accused drove repeatedly on the road of about 4-5 kilometres by taking u-turns.

“I tried to stop them many times but they did not stop the vehicle. For about one and a half hours they carried the girl’s body for about 20 km,” he said. Dahiya said he also chased the car with his bike and was in touch with the police.

The body was found in the automobile after about an hour and a half near the village of Jyoti on the Kanjhawala Road, and the accused then allegedly left.

Dahiya insisted that “it could not be just an accident.”

The girl fell off the scooter at the moment of the event, according to Harendra Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer Delhi, who was speaking to ANI. She was then dragged beneath the automobile for a considerable distance. Using the registered automobile number as a foundation, police captured the accused.

“The accused told the police that the car’s windows were shut and the music was being played loudly, so they didn’t get to know,” When they learned, they escaped the area, according to DCP.
