The school runs on the vision, decision and keen interest of the Board of Governors with Prof. B. P. Khandelwal as Chairman, Dr. Sharda Nayak as Vice-Chairperson, Mrs. Dhara Jaipuria as Pro-Vice-Chairperson and Ms. Seema Bhatnagar as the Principal.

  1. DPS Society

This vision takes shape through the Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi which under the dynamism of its Chairman, Shri Ashok Chandra, is in the process of setting up of a chain of institutions that would be models of quality education throughout the length and breadth of the world. DPS, Jaipur is one in this galaxy of star schools.

  1. Infrastructure

The school has a magnificent infrastructure consisting of advanced and interactive classrooms, smart classes, CD library, big conference hall, well equipped laboratories for Science students (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Computer labs, Language Lab, Psychology Lab, Geography Lab and Mathematics Lab etc. The school is furnished with many facilities like Well Equipped Hospital, Gymnasium, Staff Room, Multi Purpose Hall, Play Ground, Tuck In etc.

  1. International Exposure

The school participates in the international educational events to inculcate international understanding in students and providing an international exposure. Many International educational trips and workshops have been organized in last two years. Students and teachers have been to NASA, Michigan State University (MSU), Michigan U.S.A, Moscow, China, Singapore and London.

  • Visit to NASA

The school organized an educational trip to NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), USA. 22 students along with a teacher went USA from 14th May 2013 to 24th May 2013.

The trip included the Astronaut Training Experience at Kennedy Space Center Camp in Orlando. The trip was bringing a new learning experience for the students at every moment. Teamwork, Discipline, Punctuality, Leadership, Responsibility, Travel Etiquettes, Patience, Table Manners, Listening Skills and Photography tricks were a part and parcel of the trip.

  • Odyssey of the Mind

The school participated in an event – Odyssey of the Mind which provides an international platform to show innovative ideas and creativity in Science through skits and presentations, organized in Michigan State University (MSU), Michigan U.S.A from 21st to 25th May, 2013. A team of 7 students with a teacher escort participated in the event and got large appreciation from the judges for their presentation on “Art – chitecture the Musical”, a short play about how a historical monument “Amer Fort” disappears from its original location in Jaipur and the funny situations that characters face in a quest to find it.

  • Participation in XX Vernadsky National Contest of Student Research Projects

A team of 4 students with a teacher participated in XX Vernadsky National Contest of Student Research Projects organized in Moscow from 8th -13th April, 2013. They had various interactive sessions with other International Delegations. The participating students, Tanmay Khandelwal ( IX ), Shubhankar Paliwal ( IX ), Pranay James ( X ) and Divya Pratap Singh Rajvi ( X ) were awarded First Grade Diploma for their project on ‘Automatic Traffic Light control’.

  • Chinese Delegation Visit to DPS, Jaipur

The school welcomed Chinese delegation in their International Cultural Exchange Programme. A group came from GREENTOWN YUHUA SCHOOL, HANGZHOU, CHINA on a 4 day trip from 28th April to 1st May 2013. The students made them feel like home Comfort and also made them aware of the rich culture and heritage of our country. The host Indian families showed various cultures, heritage sites and handicrafts of the country. It was a successful cultural exchange programme organized by the school.

  • Activities

Race for Survival – World Marathon Challenge – 2012

An International NGO – Save the Children organized Race For Survival, a marathon of 42kms to highlight importance of saving food on the World Food Day (16th Oct.’12). DPS Jaipur made a national Marathon record of completion of 42kms marathon in 2 hrs 4 minutes 10 seconds on 17th October 2012.

 

  • Awards and Honors

v Global Education Award by School of Educators (SOE)

Mrs. Seema Bhatnagar was awarded Global Education Award 2012 for the category “Mentors who changed life” by the organization SOE which is committed to raise benchmarks in the Quality Education and recognizes Institutions for outstanding contribution in School/Higher Education Sector.

  • Indian School Ranking

DPS, Jaipur was awarded the second best school in Jaipur and Rajasthan in the year 2012 by “Education World – India School Rankings 2012”.
