Dr Rakesh Kumar honored with International Premchand Samman 2022

Credent TV | Literary and film critic Dr Rakesh Kumar was awarded the International Premchand Award on the death anniversary of the great story writer Munshi Premchand by the Norwegian Information and Cultural Forum of Norway and the international literary magazine Ispile Darpan Norway for his special contribution to literary journalism.

This award has been given to Dr Rakesh Kumar for interviewing many leading litterateurs of the country and abroad for the famous literary show “Dear Sahityakar” of Credent TV.

Who bestows the International Premchand Samman

Sureshchandra Shukla Alok, president of the International Premchand Samman Samiti, said that in the International Premchand Award, various people were awarded for their distinguished contributions in fiction, poetry, criticism, theater, and literary journalism.

This award ceremony was organized on virtual mode in the presence of Dr. Prakash C. Bartunia, Vice Chancellor of BBAU University, Dr. Nirmala S. Maurya, Vice-Chancellor of Veer Bahadur Purvanchal University, Shailendra Kumar Sharma of Ujjain University, Virender Sharma, MP, UK, Indian Embassy Norwegian Secretary Inderjit Singh and storyteller Mamta Kalia etc.

Who is Dr Rakesh Kumar

It is noteworthy that Dr Rakesh Kumar has been doing good work for literature continuously for the last several years. Joining the organizing committees of Sahitya Saptak Samaroh, Dear Sahityakar Show, Dear Sahityakar Sammelan, and Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) organizes many academic events for literature and films.
Dr Rakesh did research work on Hindi cinema as a post-doctoral fellow at UGC. He is currently teaching in Haridev Joshi Journalism University.
