Former Haryana Sports Minister Sexual Harassment Case: Female Coach’s Mobile Data Recovered; Chat Records Discovered; New Names Emerge

The sexual harassment case involving former Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh has taken a new turn. The Chandigarh Police have found the junior women’s coach’s phone data

The police have received chat logs from the phone, and the SIT has questioned junior women’s coach and minister Sandeep Singh as a result. Additionally, some new names have appeared in the mobile data; these are the individuals whose names the junior women’s coach had taken down during the police interrogation.

The SIT of the Chandigarh Police summoned these individuals to the Sector-26 police station where they were questioned extensively.

Cyber cell looked into

Sandeep Singh, a former sports minister, and the junior women’s coach had their cellphones seized by the Chandigarh SIT team during the entire controversy. The cyber cell team of the Chandigarh Police was looking into Sandeep Singh’s two mobile devices. Sandeep Singh has been charged with chatting on various social media sites by the women’s coach. The group has located this chat and is looking into the situation.

Chargesheet will be submitted in seven to ten days.

The Chandigarh Police does not wish to further delay the situation at this time. As a result, after carefully considering all the factors, the police have created a detailed charge sheet. The SIT is currently working on creating the charge sheet for this case, according to Chandigarh Police sources. The police will file the charge sheet in court within 7 to 10 days, if sources are to be believed. Please note that the police must submit the charge sheet within 90 days of the case being registered.

The junior women’s coach revealed the molestation to Sports Minister Sandeep Singh on December 26.

On December 27, Sandeep Singh received assistance from Kavita, the sports department’s deputy director.

On December 28, Assembly Speaker Gyanchand Gupta and Sports Minister Sandeep Singh met.

The junior women’s coach reported this incident to Chandigarh Police on December 29, 2022.

For the investigation, the DGP of Haryana assembled a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of three people.

The police started working on December 29 and 30. began gathering proof against the minister.

The police discovered the statements made by the female coach to be true during their initial investigation on December 31.

The minister was the target of a case filed under sections 354, 354A, 354B, 342, and 506.

On January 1, Chandigarh Police disclosed that a case had been filed against the minister.

Sandeep Singh, who is still the Printing and Stationery Minister in the Haryana government, left the Sports Ministry after the case was filed.
