Mind, Body, and Soul are the three components of an individual. These components are to be balanced and integrated as one for a person to be well. At times, situations get complicated and the relationship between these three get disturbed. But following a healthy routine and positive attitude helps in healing. 

Why not many people are both physically and mentally fit?

Ranjeet Singh, Educator says human beings have a habit of keeping expectations. We expect more but put in fewer efforts. When expectations don’t get fulfilled, we feel stressed. As our mind body and soul are interconnected, mental illness affects our body and we get attacked by diseases. Another thing to avoid doing is comparison. Stop comparing yourself with others. Good things will automatically come to you.

Stress in the mind causes stress in the body and vice versa. Millions of thoughts come and go in our minds and each thought has a specific emotion attached to it. It hurts when the emotion is negative. It ultimately causes stress, anxiety, and depression. When psychological stress affects our body, it’s called psychosomatic, as stated by Dr. Nirmala SRao, Psychologist. She explains every disease like migraine, bp, asthma, acidity, etc. has an emotion attached to it. And this mishap directly hurts our souls. There are three mantras she shared to overcome this- patience, tolerance, and ignorance. 

How to change your belief system

First and foremost, the thing to do is own your decisions. Do not give the power of making decisions in your life to others. You can take advice from people but do not decide based on them. Use your brain and do happily whatever you do. Live your life based on your experiences and take others’ experiences as a lesson. When you mould yourself according to the situations you are in, it gets easy to live life. This has become necessary, especially in today’s dynamic world. 

How to leave bad habits

Sometimes you know you have bad habits like intoxication but still fail to leave them. Saroj Sharma, Principal of Vedanta International School says “We are the ones to destroy/make our body. Certain ingredients present in intoxications make our lives prone to it. It starts with fun then becomes a habit and then a necessity. Only by self-control, it can be overcome. We govern our mind, as we think so shall we act.

Divert yourself, take help from people (family, friends, or anyone close) to make you leave bad habits. 

Everything concludes with the fact that keeping your mind healthy and happy is a must to live a happy life. Do not focus on others, focus on yourself. Increase self-awareness because stress makes the immune system weak. Low immunity makes your body prone to diseases. If you don’t want to make any connection with diseases, feed your mind with positivity. Optimism will take you ahead in life and pessimism will pull you back.
