Due to different weather systems in the country, the winter rains are continuing. Even today there is an alert of heavy rain in Uttarakhand and Himachal, then there is a possibility of rain in UP, MP, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. In the last 24 hours, many states of the country received rain.

Due to the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, the activity of Western Disturbance and the cyclonic circulation in Andhra, the trough extending from there to Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand is affecting the weather of the country. Red alert issued in Kumaon region and Orange alert in Garhwal
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Kumaon and Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Red alert has been issued in Kumaon region and Orange alert in Garhwal region. Regional Meteorological Center Director Vikram Singh said that due to the moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal and the Western Disturbance becoming active once again, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Kumaon and Garhwal region.

According to the weather agency Skymet, in the last 24 hours in the country, light to moderate rain occurred in different parts of the state including East UP, West Madhya Pradesh, some parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Kerala.
Light rain occurred over Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, Uttarakhand and Konkan and Goa.

Heavy to very heavy rain is possible over eastern and central parts of Uttarakhand. There is also a possibility of rain in the upper areas of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
Light to moderate rain may occur over Delhi NCR, UP, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain is also expected in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry and adjoining areas.
