In the country’s capital Delhi, on Saturday, the prices of CNG and domestic LPG distributed through pipes have been increased by three rupees each. This increase has been made after the increase in the price of imported natural gas. CNG prices have been increased by Rs 3 per kg. The price of CNG has been increased for the first time in the last four months. Piped natural gas (PNG) has also become costlier by Rs 3 per standard cubic meter after a gap of two months.

According to the information posted on the website of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the price of CNG in the National Capital Territory of Delhi is now Rs 78.61 per kg. IGL retails CNG and Piped Cooking Gas in Delhi and adjoining cities. This is the 14th increase in prices since March 7 this year. The last time the prices were increased by Rs 2 per kg was on May 21. Overall, the price of CNG has increased by Rs 22.60 per kg during this period. According to data compiled by PTI, CNG prices have increased by Rs 35.21 per kg or 80 per cent since April 2021.

According to IGL, the rate of piped natural gas (PNG) used in domestic kitchens has been increased from Rs 50.59 per SCM to Rs 53.59 per standard cubic meter in Delhi. This is the 10th increase in PNG rates since August 2021. All the prices have increased by Rs 29.93 per SCM or about 91 per cent.(Credenttv.com)

IGL said that the rates of CNG and PNG have also been increased in other cities like Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram as well as Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Ajmer in Rajasthan.
