India have taken a 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against South Africa. India won the first match by 8 wickets and won the second match by 16 runs. The bowlers and batsmen did a good job depending on the pitch in both the games. However, the bowling in the death overs still remains a matter of concern. In the batsman, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav played their responsibility well. India had the same playing XI in the first and second T20Is. Now India have won the series and some players sitting on the bench may be given a chance in the third T20. After winning the second match, Team India captain Rohit Sharma had indicated this. These two players can be left out in the third T20.

1) Suryakumar Yadav

Surya is currently running in great form. After the victory in the second match, Rohit Sharma had said that he would now like to see Surya against Pakistan on 23 October. This meant that Surya would be rested in the third T20. Surya scored half-centuries in both the T20 matches. He is also playing matches continuously. The Indian team’s warm-up matches for the T20 World Cup will start from October 16. In this sense also, Surya can be rested. Suryakumar Yadav played a stormy innings with his bat in the second T20, scoring 61 runs in 22 balls with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. Shreyas Iyer can be given a chance in his place in the third T20.

2) R Ashwin

Ashwin played in the playing XI of both the T20 matches. His performance in both the matches was nothing special. He could not get a single wicket. Despite being experienced, he could not take much advantage of the pitch. Yuzvendra Chahal can be fed in his place in the third T20. Both Ashwin and Chahal are part of the T20 World Cup squad. In such a situation, it would also be right to give Chahal a chance. By the way, as expected, Chahal will be given preference over Ashwin in the playing XI of the World Cup. Chahal’s form has also been poor so far. In the third T20, he would like to bring back his confidence by taking a few wickets.
