Update on COVID-19 cases in India:

According to data from the health ministry released on Wednesday, the number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 2,570.

Cases of COVID-19 in India: On the last day, 175 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in India. The Union Health Ministry released figures today (January 4), showing that the overall recovery rate was approximately 98.80% and the total number of recoveries was 4,41,45,854.

The health ministry’s data showed on Wednesday that there are now 2,570 active COVID-19 cases overall in India. Around 2,582 active cases were reported yesterday.

Present cases:

In the last 24 hours, there has been a total decline of 12 cases in the active COVID-19 caseload. According to the ministry, the number of current cases is 0.001% of all infections.

A total of 5,30,707 people have died nationwide as of this writing. The first COVID pandemic-related mortality in India was recorded in March 2020.

Update on COVID vaccination:

The national immunization effort has resulted in the administration of 220.11 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, According to the website of the health ministry.

The COVID-19 tally for India had reached the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020, the 30-lakh mark on August 23, the 40- lakh mark on September 5, the 50-lakh mark on September 16, the 60-lakh mark on September 28, the 80-lakh mark on October 11, the 90-lakh mark on November 20, and the one-crore mark on December 19, 2020.

On May 4, 2021, June 23, 2021, and January 25, this year, the nation passed the somber milestones of two crore cases, three crores, and four crores, respectively.
