The Indian team has defeated the West Indies for the ninth straight Test series. The group triumphed 1-0 in the two-test series

. The series’ second game ended in a draw. The series was given the name Team India because the Indian team won the first game by an innings and 141 runs. The last time West Indies defeated India in a Test series was in 2002.

This game, which was played in Port of Spain, was named after rain on its fifth and final day. Rain fell in spots until the afternoon. No balls could be bowled in the Test because the weather did not clear until the evening. India had to accept the draw because it was impossible to determine who would win or lose.

On Sunday’s fourth day, West Indies was given a target of 365 runs; up until stumps, the team had amassed 76 runs for 2 wickets. Starting on July 27, Team India will play a three-match ODI series against the West Indies.

Mohammad Siraj was the game’s MVP.

The player of the match was the fast bowler Mohammad Siraj, who claimed 5 wickets in the first innings. By taking 4 wickets in the opening session of the third day, he made a significant contribution to quickly bowling out the West Indies. In his Test career, Siraj has now won Player of the Match for the first time. In the game, Virat Kohli also played a century.

With 15 wickets in the series, Ravichandran Ashwin was eligible to win Player of the Series. The West Indies Board, however, did not retain the Player of the Series award in any way, which is what makes this different.

Indian points had to be shared

The team had to split the crucial four points for the World Test Championship with the West Indies, and India was the worst affected by the rain on the final day. The team would have received all 12 points if there had been a full day of play and India had lost eight wickets to the West Indies. However, if the West Indies had won, they would have scored 12 points, levelling the series at 1, and India would not have received a point.

Rain wiped out the fifth day of the play.

The final day didn’t get off to a good start because it rained during the first session. Since the morning, it has been pouring heavily here. The afternoon’s play was postponed due to rain as well.
