Jasprit bumrah India vs South Africa T20: The first match of the three-match T20 series being played between India and South Africa was played yesterday i.e. on Wednesday at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Indian team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah did not play in this match. During the toss, captain Rohit Sharma told that Bumrah has been injured once again.

Rohit told that Jasprit Bumrah had complained of back pain before the match. He was having back pain during the exercise. Because of this he has not been fed in this match. The BCCI medical team is monitoring him. Bumrah’s injury before the T20 World Cup is a matter of concern for India. He has played only five T20Is for India this year and his performance in the last two matches has not been up to expectations. The Indian team has to leave for Australia after a few days. But before that, Bumrah getting injured repeatedly like this can increase the tension of the team.

On Wednesday, the Indian bowlers performed brilliantly without Bumrah to restrict South Africa to 106. Electing to bat after losing the toss, South Africa had a very poor start and their 5 batsmen returned to the pavilion on the score of just 9 runs. In the very first over, Chahar dismissed captain Temba Bavuma. In the second over, Arshdeep sent Quinton de Kock, Riley Russo and David Miller to the pavilion. South Africa had not yet handled these shocks that in the third over, Chahar again sent Trustin Stubbs to the pavilion. Barring Quinton de Kock, all the batsmen returned to the pavilion on the score of zero.

Keshav Maharaj played the highest innings of 41 runs for South Africa. At the same time, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for India. In reply, India chased down the target in 16.4 overs for the loss of two wickets. Suryakumar remained unbeaten on 50 off 33 balls and KL Rahul on 51 off 56 balls. Rahul finishes the match with a six. He hit a six off Tabrez Shamsi on the fifth ball of the 16th over and gave the Indian team victory. With this win, India are 1-0 up in the series. Arshdeep was adjudged the player of the match for his brilliant performance.
