With their boys, Taimur and Jeh, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan travel to Switzerland for the Gstaad New Year’s festivities

After three years, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are returning to Gstaad; it is also Jehangir Ali Khan’s first trip to his family’s favorite vacation spot; he was born last year.

Since their 2012 wedding, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have practically annually been to Gstaad in the Swiss Alps. With her kids Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, commonly known as Jeh, Kareena visited the upmarket Swiss resort town of Gstaad on Tuesday. Kareena’s journey to Gstaad, the preferred vacation spot of his family, is her first in three years, as is Jeh’s. In February of last year, Jeh was born.

The actor posted a picture of a fireplace on Instagram Stories along with the words “Waite three years for you,” a heart emoji, and an emoticon of the Swiss flag. As her actor-husband Saif Ali Khan and their son Taimur were unable to travel abroad to welcome in the new year because of the Covid-19 outbreak, Kareena Kapoor had been sharing recollections from her former Gstaad trips with them over the past couple of years.

Kareena posted on Instagram last year lamenting the loss of her Gstaad vacation. The star posted a selfie from a previous vacation to Instagram in which she was wearing no makeup and posed indoors against a fuzzy backdrop of what seemed to be snow-capped mountains. “days after skiing. Will they come back?” In the post’s description, Kareena penned a statement.

Kareena last travelled to Gstaad with her family in 2019. She had run met actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma while on the vacation. Anushka was in Gstaad with her husband, sportsman Virat Kohli, while Varun was on vacation with his future wife, Natasha Dalal. The socialite Natasha Poonawalla family and Kareena Pataudi’s family travelled to Gstaad with the Pataudi family in 2018.

Kareena recently skipped the customary Christmas family brunch at Kunal Kapoor’s Mumbai home since she was in the UK celebrating the holiday with Saif, Taimur, Jeh, and their pals. In a video posted by the actor on Instagram, Saif can be seen playing the guitar expertly. He had a scarf, glasses, and a white kurta-pajama ensemble. Jeh photobombed the video near the conclusion when he approached Saif and addressed him as “Baba (father)”
