Mani Ratnam’s Wife Suhasini Exposes Film Critic Umair Sandhu Reviewed & Gave 3 Stars To Ponniyin Selvan 1: “Who Is This Please?”

The much-awaited period action drama Ponniyin Selvan 1 by noted filmmaker Mani Ratnam has been buzzing for a long time. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people about this film releasing today. Meanwhile, now this film is once again in discussion. Recently, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, wife of the film’s director Mani Ratnam, has revealed the fake film review of a self-proclaimed film critic Umair Sandhu.

Claiming to be an ‘overseas film critic’, Umair reviews Hindi and South films. He often reviews films before their release in India. In such a situation, the audience used to think that they have access to the press shows held abroad, but the reality is quite the opposite. Meanwhile, Umair Sandhu took to his Twitter handle on September 27 to share his review of the film even before the release of Ponniyin Selvan.

Reviewing the film, he wrote, “First review PS1, amazing cinematic saga with great production designing and VFX! Chiyaan Vikram and Karthi steal all the attention. On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a strong comeback and she looks stunning. Overall, the film is a decent historical drama, with some twists and clapping moments.”

Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini has now reacted to this review of Umair. Exposing Umair Sandhu and his review, he wrote, ‘Who is this please? What is your access to the film that is releasing now?” Well, how the film is, it will be known only after its release. But through this tweet, Suhasini Mani Ratnam has definitely cleared the doubts of the audience.

Talking about the film, the film which is releasing today has been directed by Mani Ratnam. Ponniyin Selvan 1 is based on a 1955 novel of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy. It tells the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarman, who later became the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I. Many actors like Vikram, Aishwarya Bachchan, Karthi have been seen in the film.
