Manish Sisodia was housed among "sevadars" in the "VVVIP" ward

The letter arrives at the same time as Manish Sisodia, who is being held in Tihar Prison, has written a message declaring that although his conditions may be challenging, his spirit would not be broken.

According to a new letter sent to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena -arrested AAP leader Manish Sisodia is being held in a “VVVIP” ward of Delhi’s Tihar Jail that has “wooden flooring” in addition to other amenities. This claim was made by alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who was recently detained in a new money laundering case connected to the deception of former Religare promoter Malvinder Singh’s wife. According to him, only “high profile” offenders have received such luxuries thus far, according to The Indian Express.

The letter arrives at the same time as Sisodia had written from the Tihar prison, indicating that while being imprisoned may provide challenges for him, it won’t make him lose his spirit. “Saheb, even if you imprison me, you won’t be able to break my spirit. The independence warriors were also persecuted by the British authorities, but thanks to Manish Sisodia’s message from behind bars, “read an AAP leader’s official Twitter account tweet in Hindi.

Chandrasekhar further charged that “false rumors” about Sisodia’s imprisonment with gangsters and the ensuing threat to his life were being propagated by the AAP and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“Mr. Manish Sisodia is incarcerated at Tihar Jail’s VVVIP Ward No. 9 of Jail-1 –

Only five cells are present in the roughly 20,000 square foot gated special ward for high profile or VIP inmates, according to Chandrasekhar.

He said that this jail has “…wooden floors and all amenities” including “an exclusive huge lawn to roam around, a particular badminton court, and a dining area”.

According to the “conman,” this ward has previously housed VIP/high-profile inmates such as Suborotho Roy of Sahara, Mr. Kalmadi, Mr. Amar Singh, Mr. A. Raja, and most recently Sanjay Chandra of Unitech. He also claimed that “only a few old inmates and sevadars” had been housed with Sisodia “for his comfort” as opposed to gangsters or “serious criminals” as claimed by the AAP.

About the untrue rumors being disseminated by the Aam Aadmi Party about Sisodia, Chandrasekhar requested Saxena’s prompt action.

Mr. Sisodia is receiving excellent care in this VVVIP ward, and all of these accusations were carefully prepared and coordinated by Mr. Kejriwal, Satyender Jain, and the jail administration, he claimed.

He continued, “I humbly appeal for your prompt involvement in the interest of justice as I am a witness against AAP and kindly want you to initiate an urgent inquiry into VVVIP amenities now offered to Mr. Sisodia… and also to take action against…officers…in the benefit of my safety.

The AAP politician was detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26 in connection with allegations of corruption in the creation and implementation of the now-canceled Delhi excise policy for 2021–2022. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) also arrested him earlier this week.

Chandrashekhar is facing new allegations involving 3.5 crores that Malvinder Singh’s wife Japna is said to have given under false pretenses that it will be used to save her husband.

Malvinder Singh is currently incarcerated in connection with an accusation that he stole money from Religare Finvest Limited (RFL).
