According to Kochi police, four persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 19-year-old model inside of a moving automobile.

According to Shibimol KG, a 19-year-old model was allegedly gang-raped late on Thursday night in Kerala’s Kochi while riding in a moving car. The Ernakulam Police have detained three men and a woman in connection with the case.

The model was reportedly intoxicated after visiting a pub close to Cochin Shipyard. She was allegedly gang-raped on the way after the accused offered to drop her off at her home in Kakkanad. Before abandoning her close to her home, the accused abused her inside the car as they drove through the city till late at night.

Treatment for the victim is being provided by Kalamassery Medical College. “There is medical evidence that she was hurt. The men left the victim in Kakkanad after committing the crime “told PTI, a top police official.

The incident was discovered when it was reported to the police by the private hospital where the victim had been admitted this morning by her roommate.

“In this case, there are 4 suspects; we have detained 3 men and 1 lady and have filed a complaint under Section 370 of the IPC. The victim who supported the other accused is friends with the accused woman. We’re awaiting medical reports to determine whether the victim received any drugs “Kochi City’s CP, CH Nagaraju, informed ANI.

The case has a FIR under sections 370 and 376 recorded, however the suspects have not yet been taken into custody.

The occurrence of a girl being gang-raped in Kochi, according to Minister of Health, Women, and Child Development Veena George, is shocking.

“The incidence is categorically rejected. The offenders will face harsh punishment. I’ve issued instructions to make sure the girl gets the proper care “said the minister.
