On March 4 each year, India observes National Security Day. It is known by another name, Rashtriya Suraksha Diwas, and it is a day set aside to honour the Indian Security Forces. The goal of National Security Day is to show our appreciation for the security forces that protect our population, including the police, paramilitary groups, guards, commandos, army officers, and other organisations. They raised awareness about a variety of tragedies and problems that Indian citizens and leaders should be aware of. Throughout the course of the week-long event, they seek to educate people on a variety of subjects and work to enhance the quality of life for its residents.

National Security Day 2023: Theme.

The subject for this year has been declared as ‘Nurture young minds – Promote safety culture’ by the National Safety Council of India. To commemorate the week-long event, the NSC releases a new theme for the year.

National Security Day, also known as National Safety Day, is observed annually and was first proposed in 1972. Every year, the National Safety Council, or NSC, is in charge of overseeing the event. On March 4, 1966, the Ministry of Labor established the Safety Council to foster a long-lasting safety, health, and environmental movement.

As a result, every year on March 4th, National Security Day is observed to recognise the enormous sacrifices made to safeguard the nation. The day, also known as the Rashtriya Suraksha Diwas, is dedicated to the soldiers, police officers, commandos, and other professionals who have stepped up to safeguard the country.

The National Security Act, one of the most significant pieces of Cold War legislation, is signed by President Harry S. Truman. Throughout the following 40+ years of the Cold War, the legislation formed a large portion of the bureaucratic structure for foreign affairs. The Cold War was in full force by July 1947.
