Nawazuddin Siddiqui sues his brother and wife for slander in the Bombay High Court for 100 crore

The Bombay High Court has received a civil defamation lawsuit filed by Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui against his brother and ex-wife, claiming damages of 100 crores.

Before Justice RI Chagla, who is set to hear the case on March 30, the lawsuit was cited in regards to urgent reliefs.The Bombay High Court has received a civil defamation lawsuit filed by Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui against his brother and ex-wife, claiming damages of 100 crores.

The plea was discussed last week before Judge RI Chagla, a single-judge, who would probably hear it on March 30.The actor alleged in the lawsuit submitted through attorney Sunil Kumar that his brother Shamsuddin Siddiqui and ex-wife Anjana Pandey alias Zainab Siddiqui made several false statements about him.

The upcoming movies starring the plaintiff (Nawazuddin) have been postponed. He claims that the comments and publications are so defamatory that he is too embarrassed to attend social events and speak in front of the general public, according to the lawsuit.Thus, Nawazuddin Siddiqui argued that an order of injunction against his brother and wife should be given to permanently enjoin them from speaking negatively about him in the media or on any other platform.

Additionally, he asked the Court to order the two to delete or erase their previous comments.

The actor also demanded a public apology from his estranged wife and brother for the negative remarks made about him.The upcoming movies starring the plaintiff (Nawazuddin) have been postponed. When Nawazuddin Siddiqui hired a chartered accountant, he learned that his brother’s failure to pay his debts to the government had left him with unpaid obligations totaling 37 crores.
