PM Modi to announce 5G internet services in India on 1st October

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 5G services in the country on October 1 during a program organized at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. During this he will oversee the functioning of 5G services from an underground tunnel of the upcoming Delhi Metro station in Dwarka Sector 25, Delhi. This information has been given by news agency PTI quoting sources.

On the other hand, more than 100 million people of the country want to use 5G service in 2023. These people also have smartphones that are ready for 5G networks. Most of these consumers are also ready to pay up to 45 per cent more for 5G service.

Ericsson said in a survey on Wednesday that the countdown has started for the availability of 5G service in India. Of those who want to use 5G service, 36% want to take the services of the best service provider. Nearly 60% of people expect the new innovative app. According to the survey, only the performance of the 5G network will serve to build trust. The survey is based on the opinion of 300 million smartphone users in urban India.

70% companies will invest heavily in 5G
EY said, 70 percent of Indian companies will invest heavily in 5G over the next three years in comparison to other technology. However, half of the companies said they had limited clarity on 5G policy and regulations. This survey has been done on 56 companies related to 8 industries including financial services, government, technology.
