QUALITY SCHOOLING IS WHAT NATIONS ARE BUILT ON – Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje

 Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Jaipur, 18 February: The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt. Vasundhara Raje  said that quality schooling is what nations are built on. For any democratic government, providing good school education is a fundamental responsibility.

The Chief Minister was speaking as the Chief Guest on the occasion of the official launch of Platinum Jubilee of St. Xavier School  in Jaipur.

She further said that the task before the education sector in Rajasthan was massive. The State Government was making efforts in rationalization of schools, improving curriculum, imparting capacity building among teachers and using the tools of modern communication to improve learning outcomes. She congratulated the school for celebrating the platinum jubilee celebrations and appreciated the institution’s significant contribution towards education.On the occasion the Guest of Honour, Apostolic Nuncio of India & Nepal, His Grace Salvatore Pennacchio said that the Jesuit community in India has made huge efforts for the education of the young people. He said that the students who passed out of the Jesuit institutions have the fundamental human quality of love and respect. He said that the St. Xavier School in Jaipur stands out for imparting quality education.

Bishop Oswald Lewis (Diocese of Jaipur); Father Varkey Perekkatt, SJ (Provincial of Delhi Jesuit Province and the Rector of the school, Father Glenn Menezes also spoke on the occasion.The students mesmerized the audience with their band display as well as various cultural performances. The Chief Minister had a special word of appreciation for the display put up by the students on the occasion.As many as 7000 invitees including parents, students, alumni, teachers, staff participated in the event.
