As the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Haryana, images tweeted by the official account of the Congress party showed a dog strolling in front of Rahul Gandhi and boxer Vijender Singh.

The Congress party’s official Twitter account posted images of senior politician Rahul Gandhi, boxer Vijender Singh, and a dog strolling in front of them as the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Haryana today.

The dog, Luna, traveled with Rahul Gandhi and other party members on Friday for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a Congress party gimmick with no clear goals or objectives that is probably an attempt to present the Gandhi scion as a potential candidate for prime minister in the 2024 general elections. The gathering tweeted images of the dog to Vijender Singh, Rahul Gandhi, and other users.

The Congress leaders ate biscuits from the same plate that had been used to feed biscuits to Rahul Gandhi’s dog “Pidi,” according to Sarma, who related another event from the same meeting. Sarma mentioned that Rahul Gandhi had been briefed on the political happenings in the state by a number of Congress leaders, including Tarun Gogoi, a former chief minister of Assam.

Rahul Gandhi, however, paid no attention to the state officials and was instead playing with his dog, “Pidi.” The dog received biscuits from the same plate as those offered to the visiting congress officials, according to Sarma.
