Credent TV | Ramesh Borana, Vice-Chairman of the Rajasthan State Fair Authority, said fair celebrations play a significant role in our daily lives since Rajasthan is a state with a rich cultural heritage. The government is making sure that proper provisions are made for its organisation and security in this scenario, taking its responsibilities into account.

According to Borana, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has issued directives stating that believers should not encounter any difficulties during any of the state’s fairs, festivals, or religious padayatra. As a result, the Rajasthan State Fair Authority has sent a letter to all of the state’s district collectors, who also serve as district fair officers, requesting that all forthcoming fairs and visits be planned in a methodical manner by the organisers and other relevant administrative agencies. All essential measures should be made with accountability as well, after discussions in the joint meeting of the pre-mela management.

According to Ramesh Borana, the COVID problem prevented fairs from being held in the previous two years. However, now, in light of the overwhelming public interest, the fair space has to be secured with sanitation, lights, drinking water, roads, traffic, and direction. Proper preparations have been outlined in the instructions. He said that he would personally review the fair locations and padayatra routes with the Rajasthan State Fair Authority’s personnel in order to minimise suffering for the devotees.
