In view of the danger of terrorism and communal violence in Pakistan, America has warned its citizens. Issuing a travel advisory, the US has advised citizens not to travel to Pakistan and especially its Pacific provinces.

The US State Department issued this travel advisory on Thursday. In this, the US government has asked its citizens not to travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, including Balochistan and the former Federal Territories of Tribal Areas (FATA), due to incidents of terrorism and kidnapping.

Level III warning issued
The US issued a third-level advisory saying that due to terrorism and sectarian violence, reconsider travel to Pakistan. The danger has increased in some areas. This level of travel warning is issued when long-term or serious conditions pose a risk to passengers and visitors and when non-essential travel is deemed necessary to be avoided.

expressed fear of terrorist attacks
The US has also advised its citizens not to travel around the Line of Control (LoC) due to the threat of terrorism and armed conflict. The advisory states that terrorists can strike with little or no warning. They can target transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist sites, schools, hospitals, places of worship and government facilities. Terrorists have carried out attacks on US diplomats and diplomatic establishments in the past, so travel to Pakistan should be postponed for the time being.
