Rishabh Pant is in the hospital after a serious car accident

Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper for India, was severely hurt in a car accident and rushed to a hospital in Dehradun. His injuries’ full extent is still unknown.

Pant has a ligament rupture in his knee, abrasions on his back, and lacerations on his forehead, one immediately above the left eye, according to Dr. Sushil Nagar, who oversaw the emergency care. However, despite Pant’s automobile catching fire, preliminary X-ray results indicate that there is no fracture and no evidence of burns on his body.

He has been transported to the Max Hospital in Dehradun, where more tests, such as an MRI, will help doctors establish the extent of his injuries and the best next steps in his care. At 6 a.m., Pant arrived at the hospital.

Pant was travelling to Roorkee in Uttarakhand when the tragedy happened early on Friday. He was then sent to Dehradun* after being treated at a nearby hospital.

Director General of Uttarakhand Police Ashok Kumar was quoted by NDTV as stating, “Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant’s automobile met with an accident at around 5:30 am.” “Near Roorkee, in Mohammedpur Jat, the incident occurred. Pant said that he fell asleep behind the wheel, causing the car to crash into the divider and catch fire. He was taken to the hospital in Roorkee and is now being transported to Dehradun.”

The Indian teams for the T20I and ODI home series against Sri Lanka commencing on January 3 did not include Pant, 25, in their lineups. Before the Test series against Australia in February, he was scheduled to travel to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for strength and conditioning exercises.
