Speaking to a crowd on a street corner in Ambala, Haryana, this evening, Mr Gandhi declared, “I took a resolution that till I do not shiver, I will only wear a T-shirt.”

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, said he opted to wear only T-shirts during the march after seeing three impoverished girls “shivering in ripped garments” in Madhya Pradesh, amid controversy surrounding his decision to dress warmly during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

“People always ask me why I’m wearing a white T-shirt when it’s freezing outside. I’ll explain the rationale. It was hot and muggy in Kerala when the yatra started. But it was a little chilly when we crossed into Madhya Pradesh.

“Three impoverished female youngsters came to me one day wearing damaged clothing. They were shivering when I held them since they were not dressed appropriately. On that day, I made the resolution to only wear a T-shirt till I stop shivering “Speaking at a gathering on a street corner this evening in Ambala, Haryana, Mr Gandhi Currently, Haryana is part of the Rahul Gandhi-led Yatra.

“When I start shivering, then I will think of wearing a sweater. I want to give a message to those three girls that if you are feeling cold, then Rahul Gandhi will also feel cold,” he said.

The true question, he had stated in Bhagpat, was not why he was wearing a T-shirt, but rather why the country’s poor labourers, farmers, and children were wearing ripped clothing, T-shirts, and lacking sweaters.

The former Congress leader went on to claim that one industrialist controls the whole apple trade in Himachal Pradesh, citing newspaper reports. He said that the same businessman controlled the entire apple trade in Jammu and Kashmir as well.

Regarding farmers who participated in demonstrations against the central farm laws that have since been repealed, Mr Gandhi stated that the Congress party had argued in Parliament that “700 farmers had died during the stir against farm laws, at least acknowledge their sacrifice and give them martyr status, but the government does not accept they had died.” The march is currently travelling through Haryana.

The yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, will come to an end on January 30 when Gandhi hoists the national flag in Srinagar. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh have so far been covered by the march.

Rahul Gandhi Told A Reporter “I Have Killed Rahul Gandhi”

New Delhi: Insisting that the Bharat Jodo yatra shouldn’t be about him, Rahul Gandhi declared that he had “killed Rahul Gandhi” and was unconcerned about his reputation.
“Your thoughts are on Rahul Gandhi. He was murdered by me. He has disappeared. I don’t think so at all. He’s left. Gone, “the Congressman told reporters on Sunday in Haryana.

He was questioned by a journalist about how the yatra had altered his persona.

“Gandhi is not the person you are looking at. He’s in plain view. You’re not getting it. Read the scriptures of Hinduism. If you read about Lord Shiva or Shiv-ji, you will comprehend. Be not alarmed. Your mind is where Rahul Gandhi is, not mine. He lives in the mind of the BJP, not mine “stated Rahul Gandhi.

He responded to the reporter who had questioned him by saying: “Why do you seem so surprised? I have no involvement with or interest in images. You are free to give me any kind of impression, positive or negative.

” Similar remarks were made back in November when he suggested that the election was not at all about him. “Years ago, I let Rahul Gandhi go. You’re thinking of Rahul Gandhi, not me. Understand. Try to comprehend. Someone is clapping, I see (after hearing applause). Do you comprehend? One person has a clue. This is your nation’s philosophy. If you comprehend it, it will benefit you “said he.

He was asked by a journalist to explain the perspective “Rahul Gandhi” was gaining from Indians on the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Many at the time saw his unwillingness to take up the position of Congress president, which he resigned from in 2019 after suffering back-to-back electoral losses to the BJP, as being consistent with his remarks about “letting go of Rahul Gandhi.”

Weeks before the Congress presidential election, in the middle of his yatra, which started in September, he adamantly dissociated himself from the race and said that he was not vying for the top position.
