Share Market News Today Highlights: Sensex surges 491 points, Nifty reclaims 17,300; SBI, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank among top gainers

The domestic stock market closed with gains on the first trading day of the week. On Monday, the Sensex climbed up to 491 points, then the Nifty was also successful in crossing 17300. Sensex closed at 58411 points while Nifty climbed 126 points to close at 17312 level. In the market, buying was seen in the stocks of banks, auto, financial services, IT and pharma sectors. Nifty Metal and Nifty Realty indices declined. SBI and Bajaj Finserv were seen trading as top gainers in Monday’s trading session while companies like Hidalco and L&A were among the top losers. Due to the rally in the market, investors have made a profit of about Rs 1.53 crore.
