Anand Mahindra, a businessman, said on Monday that India’s future would be “electrifying” in light of the finding of lithium resources in Jammu and Kashmir. The country has now discovered reserves of metal used in some automobile batteries for the first time.
No longer in doubt, India’s future will be exciting, he tweeted with a thumbs-up emoji.
The pun, which made reference to the metal’s use in electric car batteries, seemed to go over well with internet users, as several of them added their own interpretations in the comments. The Geological Survey of India said earlier this week that it has discovered lithium resources for the first time in the nation. The Reasi district in the northern union territory of Jammu and Kashmir has 5.9 million tonnes of lithium inferred resources.
One of the key parts of EV batteries is a non-ferrous metal.
In an effort to advance its electric car aspirations, India has made measures to increase its supply of vital minerals, including lithium. In fact, the mines ministry had already said that it was taking a number of proactive steps to obtain minerals from Argentina and Australia.
India now imports most of its minerals, including lithium, nickel, and cobalt. The country’s development ambitions will be heavily dependent on the discovery in Jammu and Kashmir.
The GSI results have also raised morale in the Reasi district, where many people are excited about the potential for fantastic employment possibilities for the residents.
“It is the Reasi district’s second-largest employment opportunity. The NHPC project’s development was the first of these. I must argue that this opportunity is equally important. a significant reduction in unemployment
