iPhone model 2007 –

According to reports, an untouched Apple iPhone model 2007 sells for more than Rs 50,000 in the US and is currently up for sale. The 8GB version of the first-generation iPhone debuted in 2007 for $599 (approximately Rs 49,200 today).

A 2007 first-generation iPhone that has never been used is about to be auctioned off. And what’s this? More than 80 times its original cost, or at least $50,000, is anticipated to be paid for it at auction. The phone was given to cosmetic tattoo artist Karen Green 16 years ago, and she is the owner.

Business Insider claims that Green received the original iPhone from her friends in 2007, just as the smartphone was starting to gain popularity. The phone has a 2-megapixel camera, a 3.5-inch screen, and the Safari web browser.

Green was eager to utilize the new generation smartphone, but she chose not to do so because she already had three Verizon phone lines, and the iPhone at the time could only be used with AT&T. Green made the decision to keep the iPhone closed for years in order to avoid paying the termination charge for her phone lines and avoiding the possibility of losing her phone number.

Green was reminded of the previous present when she spotted another untouched iPhone being auctioned on eBay for $10,000 years later. She requested her son to retrieve the phone off the shelf right away, and then she quickly verified that it was still brand-new and unused. Additionally, her first iPhone from the first generation was still sealed.

In 2019, Green learned that the estimated value of her iPhone was $5000 when she brought it with her to the daytime TV program “Doctor & the Diva.” When Green saw the price, she made the decision to keep the phone for a few more years. However, last year, she was astonished to learn that another factory-sealed iPhone’s first generation had been sold at auction for nearly $40,000, shocking Green.

Green went on to say that she needed financial aid because she had opened her own cosmetic tattoo parlor. So she got in touch with the same auction firm that had previously sold the iPhone for $40,000 in the hopes of collecting a lot of money for it. Green told Business Insider, “If I could hold off on the phone for like another 10 years, I probably would.” She continued, “The only reason I’m selling the phone is that I have to sustain this business.

After nearly sixteen years, LCG Auctions in the US has finally chosen to put the antique iPhone Green key safe up for auction. The bidding began at $2,500 on February 2 and is anticipated to bring in $50,000 or more by the time the February 19 auction concludes.

Although iPhones already have a devoted following, antique, unopened iPhones are now proving to be a great financial choice for their owner.
