Virat Kohli again at number one
Credent TV | Former India cricket captain Virat Kohli has retained his position as the Top Valued Celebrity in 2021. However, their brand value has dropped by almost 22% to $1857 million (approximately Rs 1400 crore). In the year 2020, it was $ 2377 million (about Rs 1800 crore). That is, the brand value has come down by about 400 crores.
Team India captain Rohit Sharma is at number 13 with a brand value of $32 million, while great Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar is at number 11 with a valuation of $474 million. Kohli’s brand value in 2020 was US$ 23.7 million. This information has come to the fore in the Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2021 by consultancy firm Duff & Phelps.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni at number 5 with an increase of 69%
MS Dhoni, another former India captain, finished fifth in 2021 with a 69% increase in his brand value to $612 million. In 2020, Dhoni was ranked 11th with a brand value of $36.3 million.
After Virat Kohli, the second place is of actor Ranveer Singh
After Virat Kohli, the second place is of actor Ranveer Singh. Ranveer’s brand value is $ 15.83 million (about Rs 1400 crore). Ranveer Singh achieved this position by beating Akshay Kumar. Akshay Kumar is now at the third position with a brand value of $13.96 billion.
Alia Bhatt reaches fourth place
Actress Alia Bhatt with a brand value of $681 million has jumped two places from 2020 to the fourth position. According to the report, the total brand value of the top 20 celebrities is estimated to be $1.2 billion in 2021, an increase of 12.9% over the previous year. Amitabh Bachchan is at the sixth position with a valuation of $54.2 million. Deepika Padukone is at 7th position with $51.6 million.
PV Sindhu in top 20 for the first time
Shuttler PV Sindhu has also entered the top 20 list. Sindhu, who won the Swiss Open title, ranked 20th with a brand value of $22 million. In the list of top 20 celebrities, 5 are from the sports fraternity and rest are from Bollywood and other entertainment industries.
