WFI will be managed by a panel of three people: Picketing on the road is indiscipline, according to PT Usha

Wrestlers are on strike for the fifth day against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Singh. Many Khap Panchayats from Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh came to Jantar Mantar to show their support. Taking the side of the wrestlers, the Panchayats demanded Brij Bhushan Singh’s immediate arrest by filing a FIR against him.

Meanwhile, PT Usha, president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), stated that wrestling on the streets is a form of indiscipline. This is tarnishing India’s image. In a three-member ad hoc panel to run the WFI, the IOA has included former shooter Suma Shirur and Wushu Association of India President Bhupender Singh Bajwa.

A former High Court judge will serve as the third member. His name has not yet been chosen.

Wrestler Bajrang Punia responded to PT Usha’s statement by saying that he wasn’t expected to make such a strong one. The sports minister claims to have spoken to the players for 12 hours, according to Bajrang. He was only there for a brief period of time. Three to four names had been provided. In the committee, he had selected the name Babita.

Babita stated that the report was taken from her hands. Consider how they will treat us if the committee members behave badly with them. They claim that because only one female player has been accused of sexual exploitation, action should be taken against those who exploit one.

According to Vinesh Phogat, when the Sports Minister was holding a meeting, he would come out for a minute to show his face. His officers threatened us during the meeting, but we were unconcerned. We have not yet cleared these issues based on the agreement reached during the meeting.

The Sports Minister didn’t even pick up the phone when we called. We have only won medals by being disciplined, and we are being labelled as undisciplined. Our country’s constitution grants us the right to sit on dharna anywhere.

Sakshi Malik stated, “PT Usha was an inspiration for us; she needs to know where we went wrong.” However, because no one listened to us, we were forced to sit on a dharna. Why would we sit if we had been heard?

Bajrang removed a photo of himself with Modi from social media.

Throughout the dharna, Bajrang Punia has changed the cover of his social media accounts. However, he has since added his lone photograph. In this, he was seen standing and shaking hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Geeta Phogat, a Dangal Girl International wrestler, has also shown support for the athletes. Truth can be troubled, but it cannot be defeated, he tweeted. Babita Phogat, his sister, has also questioned the committee set up to look into the allegations of sexual abuse.

According to the Sports Minister, anyone can submit a FIR at any police station.

I sat at Jantar Mantar with the wrestlers for a 12-hour period, according to Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur. We listened to them, set up a committee, and demanded a fair investigation. Only at the request of the wrestlers was Babita Phogat added to the committee.

Everyone had the opportunity to maintain their point of view. In any police station, anyone may file a FIR. After conducting a preliminary investigation, police said they will take additional action. The wrestling federation is up for grabs according to the Phogat family. He claimed that the wrestlers were provoked by the Congress leaders. Bajrang Punia is a government employee, it was also mentioned. Without permission, they cannot sit on the dharna.
