7 soldiers killed as army bus falls into Shyok river in Ladakh

According to the Indian Army statement, at around 9 am, a contingent of 26 soldiers was going from Partapur to the forward post of Hanif sub-sector in Leh district, about 25 km from Thoise. Then the army bus fell into the Shyok river uncontrollably in the Turtak sector of Ladakh. 26 soldiers injured in the accident were evacuated from there and admitted to Chandimandir Command Hospital, where 7 soldiers died due to serious injuries.
Army surgical teams have been dispatched from Leh to Partapur. The Indian Army said, we are making every effort to provide the best medical help to all the soldiers injured in the accident. So that the soldiers injured in the accident can get well soon.
Expressing grief over this accident, PM Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, “Shocked by the bus accident in Ladakh, in which we lost many brave soldiers of the army. My condolences to the families of the victims. I wish the injured soldiers a speedy recovery. All possible help will be given to the jawans and their families affected by this accident.
