The BJP’s goal of 370 seats, according to Prashant Kishor, is a “smart” strategy that has helped them alter the conversation surrounding the election
Prashant Kishor, a poll strategist, today gave the BJP credit for changing the focus of the election from merely passing the halfway point in the Lok Sabha to securing 370 seats. But missing that threshold might let the stock market down.
“The stock market penalizes companies that perform well but fall short of the lofty expectations placed on them. From this vantage point, it could become a talking point if the BJP wins fewer than 370 seats. This may also be reflected in the markets,” the poll strategist said.
Mr. Kishor, who previously collaborated with the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 2014 elections, has projected that the ruling party will win the current elections.
Additionally, he referred to the BJP’s goal of 370 seats as a “smart” approach that has helped them alter the election’s narrative
“For the past three to four months, “370” and “400 paar” have been the main topics of conversation. Think of it as a BJP tactic or the vulnerability of the opposition, but the BJP has completely changed the objective from 272 to 370. The BJP has benefited from this. Though they might not win 370 seats, no one is predicting that Modi ji will lose right now, according to the election strategist.
Mr. Kishor pointed out that the BJP will still establish the government even if it receives 320 seats, or any number below the 370 threshold they hope to surpass.
