Mallikarjun Kharge

Manikanta Rathod, a candidate for the BJP in Chittapur, is overheard claiming that he will “finish off” the Mallikarjun Kharge family in an audio clip that the Congress has released.

The All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge and his entire family are the targets of a murderous plan, according to allegations made by the Congress on Saturday.

Manikanta Rathod, a candidate for the BJP in Chittapur, is heard in an audio clip claiming that he would “wipe off” Mallikarjun Kharge’s wife and children, according to Randeep Singh Surjewala, the AICC national secretary in charge of Karnataka. In the Chittapur constituency, the BJP leader is running against Priyank Kharge, the son of Mallikarjun Kharge.

Surjewala claimed that the possibilities for the Congress party had frightened the BJP and that the BJP leadership had “hatched a’murder plot’ to kill the AICC president.” This, he claimed, was evident in Rathod’s audio recording, “who also happens to be the ‘blue-eyed boy’ of PM Narendra Modi and CM Basavaraj Bommai.”

The alleged audio footage features a local BJP leader named Ravi asking Rathod, who is charged in numerous criminal instances, how many cases have been brought against him. The BJP candidate responds by insulting Mallikarjun Kharge with profanity and instructs Ravi to ask Congress leaders for a list of the “44 cases” that have been filed against him.

Ravi then requests a member of the Mallikarjun Kharge camp’s phone number so he can contact them for more information. Rathod responds that he does not know their phone number because if he did, he would “wipe off” Kharge’s wife and kids.

Surjewala continued, “The BJP and its leadership’s frustration and desperation have now reached dangerous proportions.” “Instead of outlining a plan for the development of Karnataka, the pitiful state of the BJP is that they create one divisive topic every day to somehow avoid having to defend themselves against the claims of 40% corruption.”

Even the BJP’s nasty and dividing strategies are dissipating with little trace. Assassination schemes are now being used by them as a final resort, the Congress leader claimed.

Manikanta Rathod’s campaign event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi was postponed due to Rathore’s recent criminal conviction.
