With “Maharaj,” Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan will be making his acting debut. The movie’s release date has finally been revealed after much anticipation. On June 14, “Maharaj” will make its Netflix debut.

In addition to Junaid, the movie stars Shalini Pandey, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sharvari Wagh, who makes a cameo appearance. The first look poster and release date for the upcoming movie were shared on Instagram by the film’s creators on May 29.

In 1862, when the movie is set, India had just three universities. “Rabindranath Tagore is a year old and the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 continues to fan the flames of independence,” states the official logline for the movie. A man defies all obstacles and bravely defends himself in a historic court case; this true story is now revealed in Maharaj, more than 160 years later.”

In “Maharaj,” which premieres on June 14, Karsandas Mulji’s courageous deeds are highlighted by Netflix and Yash Raj Films. In this film, which is based on the libel lawsuit, Junaid Khan makes his acting debut.

Mulji, a journalist and social reformer, was a trailblazing supporter of social reform and women’s rights. He was a scholar-leader Dadabhai Naoroji’s protégé and a student at Mumbai’s Elphinstone College. He wrote on widow remarriage, supported the downtrodden, and planted the seeds of social change.

..Siddharth P. Malhotra is the director of Maharaj, which also has Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari making a cameo appearance.
